Introduction
API platform have two main components, the API Management layer and the underlying APIs. They have completely different responsibilities and should be organized conform. API Platforms come in many flavors, plain text APIs, OData services and Restful services are several of the implementation flavors of APIs. A common practice is to expose these APIs via an API Gateway like Azure API Management or any other thirdparty tool.
